The live music, quirky films, world-famous popcorn, namesake literary nerdiness, community gathering vibe—it's all back, 25 miles north of its usual location—and north of the destroyed Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge on Highway 1. The Henry Miller Library at The Barnyard is missing the towering redwoods and lush green lawn, but it's the same cultural hub it always was. This opening party features music by Alisa Fineman, Andrew Byars and Songs Hotbox Harry Taught Us, and poetry readings by Carolyn Kleefeld, Maria Garcia Teutsch and Elliot Roberts. Bring an optional casserole to share, check out the fire pit, buy beer and celebrate adaptability.
